Spanning diverse media including installation, sculpture, video, sound, new media and performance this exhibition brings together works which reflect the geopolitical complexity of our contemporary moment.

In diverse ways some of the works speak of the dizzying buzz of urban life; the continuous movement of material and of people; and the circulation and exchange of currency, paying special attention to the role luck and speculation play in accruing value. Many of the pieces also play with drastic shifts in scale, and as such the entirety of the exhibition can be thought of as a miniature world that the audience can enter and also see from the outside. As the title CITADEL suggests the exhibition is thematically concerned with the relationship between the inside and outside, specifically the methods of control, surveillance and violence used to maintain the separation.
